Day Tour Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Spring
Discover wonders of the plant kingdom at Kinabalu National Park, witness the 140 million year old rainforest of Borneo from a tree-top canopy walk-way, take a nice dip in mineral-infused hot springs of Poring Hot Spring and spend your time with wonderful nature and wildlife in Sabah.
Take a scenic 2 hours' drive to Kinabalu Park passing by villages and paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along th Crocker range. Along the way, make a brief stop at Nabalu Market. Nabalu is a place where the local natives gather to sell local produce, fruits, home grown vegetable and handicraft souvenirs. On arrival at Kinabalu Park, you will notice the change in air temperature. Enjoy the refreshing and cooling air as you proceed for a walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden. If the day is clear, you may even spot a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain between the New Guinea and Himalaya. Kinabalu Park boasts an estimate of 4500 species of plants which include 1500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. After the walk, depart for lunch at a local restaurant. Later, depart for another intersting wonder, the Poring Hot Spring. At approximately 47 KM (1 hours drive) form Kinabalu Park. Poring Hot Spring got its name from the tall bamboo plant. At this natural hot spring, there are Japanese bath where visitors can soak themselves and let the invigorating sulphurous water stimulate the body. Visitors can also try Canopy Walk, where suspension bridge are suspended at the top of tropical jungle. A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Canopy Walk. Return to Kota Kinabalu for an approximately 3 hours' journey and drop off at your respective hotel.
