The mountain garden is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm everyday. Visitors can visit the garden and roam by themself at anytime during the opening hours, however a conducted guided tour through the garden with Sabah Park's interpretation guide are scheduled at 9.00am, 12.00 and 3.00pm. Kinabalu Park had been designated as Malaysia's first World Heritage Site in the natural site category in December 2000. The declaration was made at the World Heritage Conference in Cairn Australia. Kinabalu had fulfilled two criteria  which justified for inscription. Criteria (ix) and (x): The site has a diverse biota and high endemism. The latitudinal and climatic gradient from tropical forest to alpine conditions combine oscillation to prove conditions ideal for the development of new species. The park contains high biodeversity with representatives from more than half the families of all flowering plants. The majority of Borneo's mammals, birds, amphibians and invertebrates (many threatened and vulnerable) occur in the park.

2D1N Mount Trus Madi Climb

Mount Trus Madi, 2,642 meters (8, 668 feet) tall is the second highest mountain in Sabah and Malaysia after Mount Kinabalu. There are 3 trails that leads to the peak of Mt. Trus Madi that is, Kaingaran Trail, Mastan Trail and Mannan Trail. Mount Trus Madi used to required hight fitness level and determination to concquer it for its difficulty, but after wooden walkway and resthouse was constructed by Frostry department in 2015, Kaingaran Trails turned into trail which can be conqured even a biginner. To reach the summit from the starting point, climbers will be traking about 2.2 kilometers of wooden walkway on the 1st day and continue 2.7 kilometers of heavily foliaged virgin rainforest on the next day. You will be fascinated by the beauty of pristine forest and welcomed by thousand  of Nepenthes along the nature trail. On interesting thing to spot is the unique pitcher plant, Napenthes x trusmadinesis - natural hybrid between Nepenthes lowii and Napenthes macrophylla which is edemic to Mount Trus Madi alone.

2D1N Night Mt Kinabalu Trek

Climbing Mt Kinabalu can be done in 2 days but a more comfortable climb in 3-days are recommended to acclimatise to the altitude and fully enjoy the rich biological diversity - the exotic rare plants, orchids, birds and many more/

While it does not require skills to do the climb, climbers must at least have a basic fitness level. Park regulations require climbers have to engage the services of a registered mountain guide. 

The numbers or guides depend on the number of climbers. Porters services are available and recommended. Book and pay for your porter at the Kinabalu Park.

Kinabalu Park, with sprawling 754 kilometer square melting pot of natural wonders was gazette as the first State Park in Sabah in 1964 and declared Malaysia's first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 2000.

The Poring Hot Springs was first developed by the Japanese during World War II. The Poring in Poring Hot Springs is in fact the Kadazan word for "Bamboo". It gives you the opportunity to relax with warm sensations. Try the highest canopy walkway (41 meters high, 157.6 meters long, whole journey is 1 kilometer) to experience walking among canopies of tropical rainforest. Other attractions include the Butterfly farm, waterfall and Poring Orchid Conservation Centre.
